Consists of 14 members appointed by the County Education Board, representing different areas of interest.

SCHOOL GOVERNANCE

The School is managed by the Principal under the oversight and guidance of the Board of Management.

THE STUDENTS' COUNCIL

The students' council has an executive committee composed of the Student Council Chairman, among other officials.

Chebara Boys High School is an Extra County Boarding School sponsored by the African Inland Church. It is a public school that provides secondary cycle of the 8-4-4 system of education under a board of management. The current students® population is over 1500 with 65 teachers and 36 skilled essential staff.

The school is a county champion in basketball, table tennis, badminton, lawn tennis, music, science fair, and chess. The school is also a STEM model school. The school has a vibrant, structured alumni association. It enjoys a warm relationship with the community and strong support.

The Board of Management (BOM)

The Board of Management consists of 14 members appointed by the County Education Board representing the following interests and stakeholders in the School: the Parents Association (6 members nominated by the PA); the School Sponsor (3); Special Interests (1); Representative of persons with special needs (1); Teachers' representative (1); Students' representative (1 - Student Council Chair - ex-officio); and the County Education Board (1). The BOM elects a Chair and a Deputy Chair, with the Principal as the Secretary.

The BOM members are appointed for a three-year term, which is renewable depending on its performance. Board meetings are usually convened by the chair in consultation with the Principal. The BOM is expected to hold at least three meetings in a year.
