
Patrick Alubbe is the Executive Director of the Kenya Water for Health Organization (KWAHO), with over 35 years of experience in water engineering and organizational leadership. He holds a BSc in Water Engineering and a Master’s in Organizational Leadership (MOL). Alubbe is a member of the Engineering Board of Kenya and the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kenya. His expertise spans water infrastructure, supply management, sanitation technologies, governance, and market-based WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) financial solutions. Notably, he served as the Regional Director for Water.org East Africa for 12 years, where he facilitated partnerships to enhance water access through financial institutions and NGOs.
Alubbe has also held leadership roles at SANA International, the Rural Domestic Water Supply and Sanitation Program (RDWSSP), and Kenya’s Ministry of Water and Irrigation. Recognized globally, he was named one of the 50 most impactful leaders in water management in 2016 and has participated in numerous international forums.
He has served on the UN’s WSSCC steering committee and currently sits on various boards and committees including KEWASNET, WASH Alliance Kenya, and the Ministry of Water’s sanitation policy team.
