WASH SSI
Strengthening WASH governance and Sustainable water supply services in Kenya (SSI) is a 3 year (2023-2025) strategic partnership between KWAHO-PACIDA-LOKADO and WHH. Funded by BMZ, The WASH SSI project’s overall objective is to promote Water access and WASH governance, through systems strengthening for persons, local institutions, ministries, and other stakeholders in Kajiado, Marsabit and Turkana Counties. The blended water access-governance and sanitation program will seek to
- Strengthen available county coordinating mechanisms and enhancing institutions’ capacity to perform their mandate and to align their initiatives to available legislations and guidelines from the national government.
- Create an enabling environment through advocating for increased finances towards WASH and WRM services and enacting of policies and guidelines.
- Develop infrastructure to increase communities’ access to water and sanitation services.  Â
- Enhance Partnership, Learning and Adaptation through creation and supporting of knowledge sharing platforms, dialogue forums and technical working groups.
- Promote meaningful participation, monitoring and transparency. Â
