On\nthe shores of Lake Victoria, just outside Kampala city in Uganda, State\nMinister for Environment of Uganda Beatrice Anywar addressed over 300 African\nentrepreneurs and policymakers gathered in February 2020 at the Switch Africa\nGreen regional forum to discuss how to advance green economy in Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Echoing\nthe main lesson learned from phase 1 of Switch Africa Green, a project led by\nthe United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and supported by the European\nUnion to assist Africa\u2019s transition into green economy, Anywar said the\ntransition to a green economy requires actions and significant technological,\nbehavioral and systemic change at all levels of the society, including\ncitizens, public and the private sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
