Overall, these events have displaced more than 20 million people\naround the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nworld\u2019s poorest countries, which produce the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ourworldindata.org\/co2-by-income-region\">fewest<\/a>&nbsp;greenhouse\ngas emissions, overwhelmingly bore the brunt of the consequences of this\nextreme weather, said an Oxfam&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxfam.org\/en\/research\/forced-home-climate-fuelled-displacement\">report<\/a>&nbsp;released\nMonday.
