{"id":5186,"date":"2019-09-09T10:34:59","date_gmt":"2019-09-09T07:34:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/africasustainabilitymatters.com\/?p=5186"},"modified":"2026-01-11T05:30:32","modified_gmt":"2026-01-11T05:30:32","slug":"700-000-namibians-need-food-aid","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rayscohosting.best\/ASM\/2019\/09\/09\/700-000-namibians-need-food-aid\/","title":{"rendered":"700 000 Namibians Need Food Aid"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em><strong> By Arlana Shikongo<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MORE than a quarter\nof the Namibian population has registered for the government&#8217;s drought relief\nfood assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This was revealed\nat Cabinet&#8217;s 14th decision-making meeting on Tuesday, during which a plan to\nimplement short and long-term interventions of the &#8216;Livelihood and\nVulnerability Assessment Report&#8217; was approved in principle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The implementation\nof these interventions has to undergo further review to determine cost\nimplications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The plan, which was\nsubmitted by prime minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila, detailed that 712 138\nbeneficiaries have been registered for food assistance.
