PRESIDENT Ali Mohamed\nShein has said that good governance practice is prerequisite to achieving\ndevelopment goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chairing an assessment\nmeeting on a work plan for July 2018 to June this year by the Ministry of\nState- President’s Office- Public Service, Employment and Good Governance at\nthe State House, Dr Shein directed the executives to enhance good governance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said the United\nRepublic of Tanzania is renowned for being the first country in Africa to\nestablish the Ministries responsible for overseeing good governance, which\ninclude accountability, integrity and honesty in the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In another\ndevelopment, both Dr Shein and the Chief Secretary Dr Abdulhamid Yahya Mzee\ncommended the Ministry for their good work particularly for being on track in\nimplementing its work plan, which is in line with government vision and Chama\nCha Mapimduzi (CCM) 2015\/2020 manifesto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile Dr Shein\nheld talks with Rwanda ambassador to Tanzania Mr Eugine Kayihura with the main\nfocus at promoting use of Kiswahili in East Africa region and beyond, saying\nKiswahili is a unifying factor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The envoy visited the\nPresident at the State house to bid him farewell following end of his tenure in\nthe country and in the course, he commended leaders in the country for\nmaintaining good relations with his country and promised to promote Kiswahili.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
