By collecting\nand analyzing data to inform treatment, it is easier for more people to access\ninformation and engage with professionals. While technologies, including\nsmartphones, wearable sensors and artificial intelligence, are successfully\nmeeting the current gaps in care, there are risks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAI\nand mobile digital technologies are a double-edged sword,\u201d said Murali\nDoraiswamy, co-chair of the report and Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral\nSciences at Duke University School of Medicine, USA. \u201cThey offer an\nunprecedented opportunity for us to democratize and enhance access to mental\nhealthcare for hundreds of millions of people and to increase the efficiencies\nof global health systems. But we also need to recognize this is a work in\nprogress.
