The number of deals\nalso increased by 127 percent in the same period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kenya was ranked by the\nsame report as the third favourite investment destination in Africa, behind\nSouth Africa and Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the statistics\nindicate an increased appetite for investment in African startups, most\nentrepreneurs at the various stages of the growth of their businesses still cite\nfunding as one of the hurdles.
