By then, more than half of the world\u2019s\npopulation will live in cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A key step to managing\nrapid urbanization, reducing poverty and addressing equity and environmental\nissues amongst urban residents is to meet their needs for access to services and\nopportunities. Walking and cycling are more than low-carbon modes of transport\nthat enhance urban quality and facilitate social cohesion.
