By becoming signatories, they commit to aligning their business strategy and practice with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/sustainabledevelopment\/sustainable-development-goals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sustainable Development Goals<\/a>\u00a0and the goals of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/unfccc.int\/process-and-meetings\/the-paris-agreement\/what-is-the-paris-agreement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Paris\u00a0Agreement<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unepfi.org\/news\/industries\/banking\/130-banks-holding-usd-47-trillion-in-assets-commit-to-climate-action-and-sustainability\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">One year ago, on&nbsp;<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unepfi.org\/news\/industries\/banking\/130-banks-holding-usd-47-trillion-in-assets-commit-to-climate-action-and-sustainability\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">22 September 2019<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unepfi.org\/news\/industries\/banking\/130-banks-holding-usd-47-trillion-in-assets-commit-to-climate-action-and-sustainability\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">,<\/a>&nbsp;at the UN General Assembly and in the presence of the UN Secretary-General, more than 130 banks launched the Principles.
