Taking home US$50,000 each were two entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They were Daniella Kwayu, co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Tanzania\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.phemaagri.com\/\">Phema Agri<\/a>, which is a digital agriculture platform connecting investors looking to grow their money with smallholder farmers looking for working capital solutions, and Moses Katala, co-founder and CEO of Rwanda\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.magofarms.com\/\">Magofarm<\/a>, which aims to solve the problem of rising costs of animal feeds and the increasing demand for sustainable, eco-friendly and nutrient rich protein ingredients.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Four entrepreneurs were also named to receive a US$2,500 Impact Award: Elizabeth Gikebe of Kenya\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mhogofoods.com\/\">Mhogo Foods<\/a>, Millicent Agidipo of Ghana\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/achieverfoods.net\/en\/\">Achiever Foods<\/a>, Paul Matovu of Uganda\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Vertical-and-Micro-Gardening-VMG-633717497031194\">Vertical and Micro Gardening (VMG)<\/a>, and Dysmus Kisilu of Kenya\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarfreeze.co.ke\/\">Solar Freeze<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/disrupt-africa.com\/2020\/09\/2-african-agri-tech-startups-win-50k-each-at-gogettaz-prize\/\">Read more&#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two African agri-tech startups have won US$50,000 each after being named winners of this year\u2019s GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize.
